About Us
Every love story begins with a spark — and so did ours.
Back in 2018, we (Suek Yee & Hon Leong) stepped into the world of wedding decoration with hearts full of curiosity and hope. Before that, our lives were anchored in different paths — I was a graphic designer, while Hon Leong mastered the art of commercial photography and event planning.
Then came our very first wedding decoration project.
We listened to the couple’s dreams, studied their vision, crafted moodboards, scouted venues, prepared props, and poured our hearts into every detail. Finally, seeing it all come alive on the big day — it was a journey that touched us deeply.
We still remember that moment vividly: when the bride walked into her decorated venue, her eyes sparkled, and she ran towards us with gratitude, saying, “Thank you for bringing my vision to life.” That joy, that emotion — that single moment changed us. We realized that wedding decoration is not just about flowers and props. It is about creating the very atmosphere where two people’s promises are sealed, where memories are photographed and cherished for a lifetime. It is about love made visible.
But every story has its trials. We faced setbacks — the dissolution of a partnership, the quiet storm of the pandemic, the uncertainty of whether to continue at all. There were moments when we thought about walking away.
Yet, love has a way of pulling you back to your true calling. In 2023, with encouragement from those who believed in us, we returned with renewed courage and a name that carries our vision: 1001Vows.
Why 1001Vows?
It is inspired by the timeless collection of stories in One Thousand and One Nights. Just as each tale is unique, unforgettable, and full of wonder, we believe every couple deserves a wedding or proposal setup as magical and distinct as their own love story.
And so, our mission is clear:
To craft heartfelt decorations for 1001 couples and beyond — designs that are romantic yet personal, photo-worthy yet deeply meaningful. We are here not only to decorate venues, but to help couples step into a space where their love feels seen, celebrated, and eternal.
And for us, every decoration is a chapter in the 1001 love stories we hope to bring to life.
